allocateFile

File allocateFile(String basename)
                  throws FileSystemException

Allocates a new temporary file. The file (and all its descendents) will be deleted when this store is closed.

Parameters:

basename - The name of the file.

Returns:

The temporary file.

Throws:

FileSystemException - if an error occurs.
